What to Expect on Your First Video Shoot

Videos are a great asset to incorporate into your marketing strategy. Here at Snapshot, our goal is to make the video shooting process go as smooth as possible. Your first video shoot could be both an exciting and nerve-wracking experience, so let’s dive into some of the things you can expect on the big day.

Environment

For most people, being on camera can seem like an intimidating thing! But our goal is to overcome that and capture amazing content with you and your on-camera talent. Before you even arrive on set, our crew is setting up doing everything possible to make sure that the environment is comfortable and that everything is running as efficiently as possible. This helps anyone involved in the filming to feel as if they are having a casual conversation. Ensuring that the set runs efficiently makes it easier for everyone to make the most out of the allotted production time. You can expect lots of high-quality footage to be shot, all while having an easy and enjoyable time doing so.

Appearance

We want you to look good on and off screen. At Snapshot, we always use soft light sources that help eliminate harsh and unflattering shadows. We always have our eyes peeled for any fly-away hairs, shiny spots that could use a touch of powder, and any shirt wrinkles or wardrobe malfunctions. We want you feeling as comfortable as possible and looking your very best before we call “Roll Camera!” When it comes to seeing the shots from the day, we review the footage and if it looks good, we let them know how confident we are in how great it looks. Don’t worry though, we’re not afraid to suggest changes to make something look even better if needed.

Sound

We work hard to make sure that anyone on camera sounds their best. We want whoever is on camera to sound confident and speak smoothly. This goes back to helping our clients feel comfortable on set. To ensure that our clients sound their best on camera we coach them and give helpful hints on ways they can gather their thoughts before stumbling through answering a question. No matter what, we always encourage clients to finish what they are saying as confidently as possible even if they begin to mess up. We also encourage anyone on camera to maintain strong eye contact and talk with their hands if they are comfortable doing so.

Crew

We strive to give our clients the best video shoot experience possible. Our goal is to create a positive atmosphere for our clients. This could be anything from providing food and drinks, to running through last-minute concerns before the shoot starts. Our personable video crew also works to make sure that everyone on camera is as comfortable as they can be. This builds rapport quickly and results in a positive end result.

Overall, our main focus is to give our clients the best video shoot experience and deliver them an incredible end product. If you’re ready for your first video shoot, give us a call! We’d love to help.
